Summary
GuideWell’s partnership with meQuilibrium started out as a pilot, but with superior enrollment and engagement, it was expanded to include all employees. Highly successful by meQuilibrium’s measures, the program was subjected to a collaborative claims-based study, meQuilibrium’s first-ever. The meQ program participants were more engaged in their health, more adherent to preventative screenings, and had overall lower health care costs than other colleagues, even though they used more services. These findings motivated GuideWell to embed meQuilibrium as part of the Florida Blue benefit offerings to some specific populations.
